Bushnell Launch Pro Indoor

Our view

The Bushnell Launch Pro Indoor is the right choice when you are building a dedicated indoor simulator and want photometric accuracy without paying for features you do not need — specifically portability and a built-in display.

The £900 saving over the standard Launch Pro comes from removing the battery and the built-in touchscreen. For a permanent indoor setup where the device lives on a fixed mount and data is displayed on your simulator screen or a nearby monitor, you do not need either of those things. The three-camera photometric accuracy is identical to the more expensive model.

The same caveats apply as with the standard Launch Pro. Club data requires a paid subscription. Simulation requires a gaming PC for the FSX software. The subscription pricing is in US dollars. GSPro requires both a Gold subscription and a separate GSPro subscription.

The honest comparison at £1,890 is the FlightScope Mevo Gen2 at £1,199. The Mevo Gen2 costs £691 less, includes 8 E6 courses with no subscription, and uses Fusion Tracking — radar combined with image processing — rather than pure photometric cameras. For most golfers building a home simulator, the Mevo Gen2 delivers everything they need. The Launch Pro Indoor earns its premium for golfers who specifically want photometric accuracy — particularly for spin data — and are happy to manage the subscription structure.

If you are building a serious dedicated studio and want to future-proof your setup with the most accurate ball data available in this price range, the Launch Pro Indoor is a strong choice. If you want the cleanest value for a home simulator build, look at the Mevo Gen2 first.

  • Gaming PC required for FSX software — significant additional cost
  • Subscription pricing in US dollars

The Launch Pro Indoor suits golfers building a dedicated permanent indoor simulator who want photometric accuracy and know they will never need to move the device. It is the right choice if you already have or plan to buy a gaming PC for the FSX software, and are comfortable managing dollar-priced subscriptions. Golfers who want a simpler all-in setup with no ongoing subscription should look at the FlightScope Mevo Gen2 first.
